About

I am an artist at heart, and an optical engineer by trade, so becoming a photographer
was a very natural thing to do. I live in Arizona, and even though the cruelty of the summer heat
sometimes seems more than one can take, the rich natural beauty of this state is out of question,
and I feel blessed for being able to experience and photograph it's wonders.
Being born in Former Soviet Union, in a small mountain republic of Kyrgyzstan, a hidden gem of
outstanding natural beauty, and growing up in Novosibirsk, among woods of Western Siberia,
I still hold to the deep childhood fascination with mountains and forest.
I first laid my hands on a camera when I was about 12 years old. It was an old Russian medium format
twin-reflex model, and really hard to get film for. Still, it had the advantage of being virtually unbreakable,
and very easy to use. It took great pictures, too :-)
Currently, my camera of choice is Olympus OM-D E-M1, for its famous Zuiko Optics and smart rugged design,
which comes in useful when my love for travel and adventure takes me to some rather unusual places.
I have a wide variety of interests, like to learn and polish new skills. I love to experiment with my images,
am constantly on the search for new and interesting subjects, so please stop by often!
Please feel free to send me email or drop a note in a Guestbook.
Update:
Due to the injury, I currently cannot travel for photography.
